Company Profile

Jagged Edge Films was formed in 2001 to kickstart the film That Time of Year, a Dogme-95 style feature attacking clichés and stereotypes of adolescence in NYC. It was established by Reese Nanavati, age 17 at the time, and her father, Vasant Nanavati. Since then, JEF has produced a number of larger independent films, all of varying genres and styles. The company is dedicated to releasing unique feature films (and occasionally shorts, music videos and animations) that are story and character driven, and which required immense levels of dedication and creativity from the people who brought them to life.

In 2006, Reese's brother, James Nanavati, formed a subdivision of the company called Scrapped Reel Productions, through which he currently produces feature length comedy films.
